About the Group
The group are fortunate to have access to the Bishop's House Gardens, Norwich. Over the last few years Society members have helped to supply delphinium cultivars, through donations, which are planted in the herbaceous borders of this beautiful four acre garden, situated in the shadow of the Cathedral in the heart of Norwich. Simon Gaches, the Head Gardener, is also the Treasurer for the Society's Eastern Group.
The group are also working with staff from Somerleyton Hall, Lowestoft, Suffolk, to promote a greater appreciation of delphiniums.
The Norfolk and Norwich Horticultural Society (NNHS) is one of the oldest societies in the country having been established in 1829. The Delphinium Society East Anglian Championships are held in partnership with the NNHS. The Championships are staged in the NNHS Flower Marquee at the Royal Norfolk Show in the last week of June.
